Therapy is a safe and confidential place where a client can speak to an understanding and non-judgemental person. The therapist has genuine interest and respect for the client's experiences, valuing them as an individual and acknowledging that their feelings are real and personal to them. The therapist aims to facilitate exploration of the client's feelings in a sensitive way.
Your Therapy
When you first come to therapy, Natasha will discuss with you what has brought you, and what you ideally hope to gain from it. This can often change throughout the work too.
At the end of the initial session, provided you and Natasha both feel you would like to work with one another, you will mutually arrange a time for the sessions to take place. Natasha offers open-ended sessions which means there is no set time limit for the work to be completed, but the work is reviewed regularly.
People vary in their duration of therapy too. Whilst one client may want to come for a short time, another may feel they need more long-term work to fully explore deep-rooted issues. Again, it is entirely based on the individual's needs and no judgement is placed on these.
When it does feel appropriate for the work to end, Natasha seeks to facilitate this in a sensitive and containing way.
Natasha adheres to the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) guidelines and is a registered accredited member.
